| Building a Marketing Network in China - SCS and the Swiss Bonded Exhibition Center |

Inspired from the demands of Swiss machinery companies and the experiences from the Swiss Machinery Center (a SCS project in 2007 in which the Second Phase has recently been available), we have realized that more and more Swiss companies need to be closer to their clients and the China market. In addition to the existing Swiss Machinery Center in Xinzhuang Industry Park, SCS has newly developed a project in Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone providing with bonded exhibition and demo, warehousing, import & export agency, customs clearance. | Second Phase of Swiss Machinery Center |
|
With the success of its First Phase, and in order to satisfy a rising demand from the machinery industry, SCS is now providing the Second Phase of Swiss Machinery Center. Conveniently located to Metro Line No.5 & No.1 and to the crossroads of A4 & A20 highways, the Swiss Machinery Center can be the perfect choice for competitively priced workshop for assembly and manufacturing, studio of exhibition and training. There are two floors (ground and second floor) in the Second Phase, with 1’196 sqm each. The space can be separated and rented out according to members needs in units of 500 sqm for example. Last but not unimportant, the Swiss Machinery Center is within the biggest cluster of Swiss companies in China. There is only five minutes walking distance to SCS headquarters. |

| Preferential VAT Treatment for SCS Members |
|
SCS has a confirmation from the tax bureau in Xinzhuang Industrial Park that Swiss Center Companies opening a Foreign Invested Commercial Enterprise (FICE, usually called "trading company") will receive preferential treatment in Minhang in terms of Value Added Tax (VAT) payer status, allowing companies to issue normal VAT invoices with a registered capital of RMB 1 Million (The normal amount in Minhang is RMB 5 Million.). The status will be granted to Swiss Center Members only. |

| LNS opens new production plant in China |

LNS SA, www.lns-group.com, world leader in bar feeding, has opened a new production facility in Wujiang (a city between Shanghai and Suzhou) for the Asia market. The LNS group has more than 700 collaborators and seven production facilities located in North America, the UK, Taiwan, China and Switzerland. |

| Swiss doors in the "Bird’s Nest" |
|
Jansen AG, a member of Swiss Center Shanghai, equipped the "Bird’s Nest" - the Chinese National Stadium with more than 400 glazed doors with steel profiles for the VIP rooms. On one hand, the impressive stadium was planned by Swiss architects. On the other, Swiss quality products contributed to the construction. Jansen opened its exhibition and training center in Swiss Machinery Center early this year. |
