Sécheron SA, JANSEN AG, Join Swiss Center Shanghai

Sécheron SA (www.secheron.com) is a worldwide leader for protection and switching devices for electric circuits for Rolling Stock, DC Traction Power Substations and Industrial applications. In December 2007, Sécheron SA joined SCS and set up its first logistic and operation center in new Swiss Machinery Center which allows SCS to become a one-stop service platform for SME's business development in China 

JANSEN AG (www.jansen.com) was founded in 1923 and is active in development, production, consultancy and sales of welded precision steel tubing, steel systems for façade, window and door constructions, as well as plastic products for the construction industry and wider industrial use. JANSEN joined SCS in December 2007 and using SCS Coordination & Communication service to establish its first Training & Showroom center in new Swiss Machinery Center 

Heidelberg Delegation and Credit Suisse Delegation Visit SCS

On 24th of Oct 2007, SCS hosted a delegation of 15 executives of Heidelberg delegation. The delegation visited one SCS member: STOLL's(www.stoll.com) fashion & marketing and service center.

The delegation also attended a presentation delivered by Mr. Christian Gulther, SCS president, on "China opportunities for SMEs". A speech by Heidelberg CEO in Asia as well as an introduction of Swiss Center Shanghai and its mission in China by Mr. Nicolas Musy, SCS managing director concluded the Heidelberg delegation visit to SCS.
 

Following their successful trip over 35 Swiss entrepreneurs organized by Credit Suisse SMEs delegation spent the morning of November 7 at SCS where they followed a presentation by Mr. Nicolas Musy on "China's Re-Emergerce" and visited two different SCS members: KUK (www.kuk.ch) which produces parts for the mobile telecommunication industry and STOLL.

 

On November 7,2007, Credit Suisse SMEs delegation visit Swiss Center Shanghai which is located in Xin zhuang Industry Park Government Building

 

The New Swiss Machinery Center/Office/Workshop

The new Swiss Machinery Center offers Swiss machinery manufacturers much sought-after space for the exhibition of their machinery products and the facilities to provide after-sales services, import/export and customs clearance, boned warehousing for spare parts, training for internal staff or client operators as well as R&D, marketing and sales activities.

"The China Human Resources Paradox" Book

The China Human Resources Paradox-Dealing Successfully in the Land of Billions" is now available:

A joint project of SCS, SwissCham, Swiss-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and OSEC, this study gives an accurate overview on human resource management in CHina which is based on an in-depth ananlysis and the experience of Swiss companies.

It illustrates best practices for the successful recruitment, management and retention Chinese staff, provides practical information on the new labor legal framework as well as a detailed analysis of China's job market its trends and future developments

The results of the study were presented to the Swiss public on February 27th 2008 in Zurich within the framework of a business seminar on China and India with a special focus on human resources management. The event was joined by 100 participants and honored by the presence and contribution of his excellency, Mr.Dominique Dreyer, the Swiss ambassador to India, and former ambassador to China.

Swiss Center Taicang Innovation & Technology Park

As an expansion of Swiss Centers, Swiss Center Taicang Innovation & Technology Park is being under construction on a total 150'000sqm land in Taicang, Jiangsu Province which is 50km away from the very center of Shanghai.

The Park is to provide the standard workshops and built-to-suit workshops to Swiss and other European companies for industrial use. The standard workshops construction is planned to be accomplished in the end of 2008.
